Josie & Tyler met through a friend who thought they would be an excellent fit for each other - turns out that friend was right! While Josie was finishing up her clinical rotation in Macon and Tyler was wrapping up grad school in Washington, D.C., they dated long distance and fell in love. They were both strong Catholics, the outdoorsy type, appreciated a good adventure, and had so many other similarities. Tyler was ready to get married first and knew that Josie was the woman he wanted to raise saints with and proposed during Josie's family summer vacation at Tybee Island in July 2021.
These two lovebirds had a sweet and reverant January winter wedding at The Most Holy Trinity Catholic Church in Augusta, Georgia - which is absolutely GORGEOUS. They wanted their wedding day to create a setting that would enable their guests to fully celebrate the sacrament of marriage with them, not allowing the non-essential details to be more important or more of a focal point than the Nuptial Mass. Josie was a stunning bride in her Elegant Bridals dress with the lace topper and the fur wrap from her grandmother. They wanted a simpler aesthetic with nods to their love for the outdoors, including handmade wooden centerpieces, white florals and greenery, and the riverside Savannah Rapids Pavillion reception venue.
My favorite unique elements of their wedding day included their consecration to St. Joseph and Mary during their Mass, their use of chant and incense during the Mass, a bubble exit, and the amount of overwhelming love and joy from everyone surrounding them. They opted to take their portraits after the Mass around the grounds outside of the church, and it was a GREAT choice - the church was stunning and it really fit the christocenticness of the wedding day! Before their bubble exit, Josie & Tyler shared a private final dance on the dance floor while their guests lined up outside. It was truly one of my favorite weddings I've been apart of!! Congrats to the happy couple!
